Business Development Specialist

Job Description

As a business development specialist at WMClub, you will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities to drive revenue, enhance profitability, and support the growth of the business. Your role will involve researching and pinpointing new market prospects, emerging trends, potential customers, strategic partnerships, and innovative products or services, as well as exploring new methods to penetrate existing markets.

Key responsibilities include seeking out the right contacts within organizations, generating leads, and cold calling prospective clients. You will meet with customers or clients either face-to-face or via phone, fostering and nurturing these relationships. Understanding customer needs and effectively responding with strategic plans to meet these needs is crucial.

You will need to think strategically, seeing the bigger picture, setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business. Strategic work will also involve necessary planning to implement operational changes. Drafting client contracts, depending on company size and formality, may also be part of your duties.

A thorough understanding of the business's products or services, and the ability to advise others on them, will be essential. You will assist in planning sales campaigns, creating a sales pipeline, negotiating pricing with customers and, in some cases, suppliers. Increasing sales, conducting sales forecasts and analysis, and presenting findings to senior management or the board of directors are also key aspects of the role.

 

Developing the business sales and marketing strategy will be a major part of your responsibilities.

You will need to have:

  • The ability and desire to sell

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection

  • Must be fluent in Mandarin
